Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

This is a unique story, full of amazing actors and actresses and there's nothing better than having a female super-power girl as our main character

THIS DRAMA! I have to say that it's hands down one of my favorites so far, you don't have idea how much I enjoyed my time watching it, it made me laugh, cry, melt and cringe (in a good way) oh and also be very scared from time to time. The thing with this drama is that it has the PERFECT balance between comedy/romance/suspense and I think that's very hard to do but they made it work and it turned out so good!! Also, there are so many important topics such as:

Feminism

Don Bong Soon proves time and again that being a girl means power and is tired to watch others take advantage just because you're a girl which means you're weak and fragile so she does her best to prove others wrong! Also her mother and grandmother being from the same strong line of woman don't take that nonesense either. Oh! And who said girls can't play games and be good at it!? There's no place for that in this drama (#girlpower)

Diversity

We have a gay character played by Kim Won-Hae (if you read my While Youre Were Sleeping review you know how much I love him) which is very rare to see in Korean dramas and omg was he amazing! He did an outstanding job playing two absolutely different characters and there was no way to watch him without laughing, he baceme quickly one of my faves.

Abuse

As almost every story we have a villain and normally they make me hate them but this one... Don't get me wrong, I hated the guy but he was also so scary straight out phycopath, his scenes were so intense and you just can't wait until someone catches him and be done with him because he's pure crazy-evil but also super smart which makes the police have a hard time with him

Romance/Friendship

Now speaking of my favorite topic, I would like to give an honorable mention to the INCREDIBLE and HEART MELTING romance in this drama, it's a slow burn romance and I think I have a love/hate ralationship with romances like that but this one was so freaking cute and worth the masochistic wait! The chemistry between our two main characters is almost palpable once thay star developing their relationship and what's very different and unique is that we always see our main protagonist falling head over heals for our very atractive male lead but in this one is not the case and it's so refreshing to watch! Park Hyung-Sik made me fall in love with his weirdness, cutness, sexiness and his oh so sweet heart, he could pass from too cute to sexy-hot in nanoseconds and you just can see how much love and respect he has for Do Bong Soon, not doubting her for even a second just because she was a girl, they act like equals and that's how relationships should always be! Words fail me to describe this amazing love story❤️ The love triangle wasn't tiresome, it was made in a fun and heart aching way which I really appreciated

The friendships are very sweet and I loved how they cared so much about each other in their own unique way even though there were some "issues" that make your heart break in two (that I don't want to give away for those who haven't watched this drama) Kook-Doo played by Ji Soo is a role model detective, his passion for his work and his care for others is admirable

Needless to say I totally recommend this drama and it's definitey worth the hype
